On Wednesday 13th November, TEC joined attendees at the Green Gown Awards, held at the impressive Dynamic Earth venue in Edinburgh. Now in their 20th year, the Green Gown Awards celebrate outstanding sustainability initiatives across Higher and Further Education in the UK and Ireland. This year, the awards received 133 project submissions from 83 institutions, with 22 winners and 23 highly commended awards announced.
The event highlighted a remarkable standard of entries across all categories, particularly in the 2030 Climate Action category, supported by TEC. This year’s two winners were The Bedford College Group and the University of the West of England, selected from a strong array of entries showcasing inspiring qualities.
Adam Clarke, Managing Director, TEC said “These awards emphasise that sustainability is a collaborative journey, contributing to the shared goal of transformative change within and beyond the education sector. Congratulations to the winners of our category, highly commended and all finalists. We are also proud to see that 9 TEC Members were amongst the winners across various categories.”
